TECAPRO™ MT
Flametec®
Cleanroom PVC-C
Fluorosint® PTFE
Kytec® PVDF
|
Due to a special stabilization process, TECAPRO™ MT shows a better resistance to higher temperatures than standard polypropylene. Compared to other materials, eg, stainless steel and PTFE, TECAPRO™ MT, possesses a much lower density which results in a reduced weight of the component parts. Standard color is white, however, other colors can be produced according to customer preferences.
Download TECAPRO™ MT product information.
Preferred fields:
- Medical technology and food processing
- Applications
- Surgical trays, surgical related equipment, implant trials
Properties:
- Good resistance to cleaning agents and disinfectants
- Can be repeatedly sterilized with hot steam
- High dimensional stability
- Good machinability
- Laser marking possible
- FDA conformity of raw material and color pigments
Very stable after exposure to chemicals
Exposure in two different chemical systems for cleaning and hot steam autoclaving:
- Ecolab chemistry
- Boxer chemistry
- 300 cycles of exposure

Fluorosint®’s unique properties are the result of a proprietary process in which synthetically manufactured mica is chemically linked to PTFE. This bonding results in properties not normally attainable in reinforced PTFE. Fluorosint® grades offer an excellent combination of low frictional properties and dimensional stability.
Product Profile:
- Chemical resistance parallels PTFE
- Continuous use temperatures to 500°F (260°C)
Compared to PTFE:
- Higher load carrying capability
- 1/9 of the deformation under load
- Lower coefficient of thermal expansion
Fluorosint® 207 PTFE
Fluorosint® 207's unmatched dimensional stability, excellent creep resistance and white color uniquely position this material to serve FDA regulated applications. It is non-permeable in steam and complies with the FDA's regulation 21 CFR 175.300. Its relative wear rate is 1/20 the rate of PTFE below 300°F (150°C).
Download Fluorosint® 207 product information.
Fluorosint® 500 PTFE
Fluorosint® 500 has nine times greater resistance to deformation under load than unfilled PTFE. Its coefficient of linear thermal expansion approaches the expansion rate of aluminum, and is 1/5 that of PTFE--often eliminating fit and clearance problems. It is 1/3 harder than PTFE, has better wear characteristics and maintains low frictional properties. Fluorosint® 500 is also non-abrasive to most mating materials.
