Modern Plastics has recently added a new, adjustable feed, bi-functional power Band Saw capable of cutting large diameter plastic rods and shapes with extremely close tolerance and precision. With adjustable blade speed, adjustable clamping pressure, flood coolant system and adjustable feed rate and cutting pressure, it can handle any plastic material from the most fragile to the very hardest, most difficult to cut plastics.

Over the years, Modern Plastics has developed a set of proprietary techniques, guidelines and documented procedures for cutting each type of plastic material. These techniques are unique not only for each type of plastic material but also for each individual piece of CNC power-cutting equipment utilized that deliver the finest, cleanest, closest tolerance cutting action possible.

Plastic materials which are improperly cut will have increased stress levels, ragged edges and visible warpage resulting in material cracking and material failure during secondary machining operations.
