HYDEX® 4101 Polybutylene Terephathalate (PBT) Rod - from Modern Plastics, is a FDA Approved material with good impact and ductility, superior chemical resistance, low coefficient of friction and has a hard durable surface. It has a max continuous use temperature of 221 degrees F. Rods have a thickness tolerance of +.002" up to 1", +.005" over 1" - 2", +.030" over 2" - 2.875 and +.250" 3" - 5" . Hydex® 4101 has increased cost effectiveness, improved yields during fabrication due to less cracking and longer part life as a result of greater durability and ductility. Hydex® 4101 comes in two different grades, standard rod and slab sizes and FDA approved white and Non-FDA approved black.
