Polystone® M-UHMW

Modern Plastics offers Polystone® M, an Ultra High MolecularWeight Polyethylene specifically formulated for applications where reduced static is required to handle bulk materials and high speed sliding applications. Applications include storage systems and change parts for the beverage industry. Some benefits and key feautres include:

• An extremely high impact strength, making it virtually unbreakable
• Light weight and easy to handle without special equipment
• Physiologically inert - approved for food applications
• Very good electrical insulation
• Weatherproof allowing no water absorption
• Chemical Resistance - resists corrosive chemicals (Sulphuric Acid, Caustic Soda)
• Abrasion resistance - rated better than Carbon Steel for sliding abrasion applications
• Low coefficient of friction - it does not require lubrication

Tecast Vekton™

Tecast Vekton™ is a cast nylon that comes in a variety of grades and offers good mechanical properties, excellent bearing and wear characteristics, and large size capabilities of the casting process.

Tecast Vekton™ is frequently used to replace materials such as laminated phenolics, elastomers, and wood. The excellent wear and abrasion resistance that Tecast Vekton™ offers results in extended component life and lower maintenance cost for your company.
