Tecanyl

Modern Plastics offers Tecanyl MT is developed specifically for medical device applications. Designed for repeated exposure of up to 1000 autoclaving cycles at 134 degrees, it offers a great advantage due to its high resistance to gamma radiation, steam autoclaving and ethylene oxide sterilization. Applications are surgical instruments, instrument handles, implant trials (max.30 days tissue contact), sterilization trays and all components that have to desterilized or are subjected to radiation.

Delrin® AF
Delrin® AF, offered in both rod and sheet forms by Modern Plastics, is a unique thermoplastic material suitable for use in environments in which low friction and long wear are important. Delrin® AF blend is a combination of Teflon fibers uniformly dispersed in Delrin® acetal resin. This combination produces a material that has strength, toughness, dimensional stability and good machinability, plus improved wear characteristics over unfilled Delrin®.
