Extraordinary Service

It's easier said than done.

Some companies live by it and others try to live by it -and that's providing the best possible service and value to its customers.

Admittedly, providing top-notch customer service on a consistent basis is difficult; it's costly and the employees have to be well-trained on how to deliver not great, but extraordinary service.

MOD-PRO® Board

Modern PlasticsModern Plastics' is a cellular vinyl composite board. It is a perfect replacement for wood in most of non-stress-bearing applications.

MOD-PRO® Board looks and feels like wood, but it is better than clear and premium lumber. MOD-PRO® Board is similar to MDF because it contains a type of wood flour similar to that found in MDF, but MDF is 100% compressed wood flour whereas MOD-PRO® Board is primarily PVC. Because the wood flour in MOD-PRO® Board is completely encapsulated by the PVC, this material will not swell, rot, or delaminate like wood, MDF, or MDO. It is lightweight, moisture resistant, resistant to many chemicals, and less susceptible to warping. The edges are much smoother than traditional EPVC, making it easier to seal and finish.

Properties:

  • Fire retardant (UL-94 VO, 5V, HB)
  • Will not rot, crack or split
  • Cuts, nails, screws, staples and glues better than wood
  • Moisture resistant
  • Insect resistant
  • Easy to paint

Zelux®

Modern Plastics from Modern Plastics is an engineering plastic with excellent dimensional stability and good strength and stiffness over a wide range of service temperatures.

Zelux is often used for structural applications when clarity and impact strength are essential including lenses, manifolds, site glasses, and machine guards. Zelux is used for a wide variety of electrical applications since it has low moisture absorption, good insulating properties, and an excellent flammability rating. Zelux is easy to fabricate, paint, and glue.

Propylux® HS2

Modern PlasticsThrough process improvement and advanced engineering, Modern Plastics introduces the next generation of heat-stabilized polypropylene. is produced from a FDA and USP Class VI approved homopolymer resin, and exhibits better heat and dimensional stability over Propylux HS. Recommended sterilization techniques for Propylux HS2 include steam autoclaving and cold sterilization. The following physical property information is based on actual tests performed on this product.

Applications Include:

  • Provisional trials
  • Cranio-maxillofacial trays
  • Sterilization tray components

PVDF Film

Modern PlasticsModern Plastics' is strong and tough as reflected by its tensile properties and impact strength. Compared to many thermoplastics, PVDF has excellent resistance to creep and fatigue, yet in thin sections such as films, PVDF components are flexible and transparent.

Properties:

  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • Stable to UV and the effects of weather
  • Low NBS smoke generation and superior LOI
  • Excellent transmittance of solar energy
  • Excellent dielectric strength
  • High heat resistance
  • Excellent physical and mechanical properties for a fluoropolymer
  • Resin FDA compliant
  • FM 4910 approved
