POLYPROPYLENE ROD, TECAFINE™ -as manufactured by Ensinger-Hyde and brought to you by Modern Plastics. Tecafine™ is Ensinger- Hyde's trademark for polypropylene, another member of the polyolefin family. Tecafine™ rod is an anti-stated, polypropylene, random copolymer polyolefin engineering plastic. It provides excellent chemical resistance, high purity and is FDA compliant. It is frequently machined into parts requiring good chemical resistance, little or no moisture absorption and excellent electrical properties. While limited to lower temperature applications in the 200 degrees F range and under, Tecafine™ does have the ability to carry light loads for a long period in widely varying temperatures. | SPECIAL SHIPPING NOTICE: Please note that this item cannot be shipped by UPS and other small package carriers. Natural white color is not pigmented, and may appear slightly translucent. All rod is quality controlled to insure traceability and a defect free product with maximum machine ability. Tecafine™ is economical while providing excellent fatigue endurance which makes it very flexible- hence the description "living hinge". Fluid handling systems including tanks and pumps may utilize Polypropylene machined valves and fittings. Industrial and consumer products take advantage of this outstanding thermoplastic. In addition to the Natural (White) Polypropylene rod, Modern Plastics offers black polypropylene rod and black and natural sheet.
