Tecanyl™ MT (PPE) Rod as supplied from Ensinger-Hyde and is produced from GE Plastics Noryl® HNA055 resin. Noryl® HNA055 resin is an excellent material for medical device application destined for repeated exposure to autoclaving cycles. It has good impact properties and is easily machines. It is preferred in the medical and food technology fields. Applications include surgical instruments, instrument handles, implant trials, sterilization trays, multi-use components. Properties: 1. Repeated sterilization performance:over 1000 sterilization cycles without loss of mechanical properties. 2. Compatible with morpholine. Very resistant to gamma radiation, steam autoclave and ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilzation. 3. Good chemical resistance. 4. Biocompatibility and food contact compliance. 5. Good strength. 6. High impact resistance. 7. Low density, therefore lighter weight parts. 8. Dimensional stability. 9. Low warpage. 10. Cold and high temperature performance. Tecanyl™ MT Rod is available from 1" to 3.5" diameter and in green, yellow, brown, grey and blue.
