Victrex® PEEK plastic excels in hostile environments, able to withstand temperatures of 480 degrees Fahrenheit continuously and in hot water or steam without permanent loss of its physical properties. This makes it a high strength alternative to fluoropolymers.

There are four grades of Victrex® PEEK plastic to choose from:

• Unfilled - This is a general all purpose grade that is unreinforced and provides the highest elongation and toughness. Available online: Sheet or Rod
• 30% Glass Filled - With the introduction of glass fibers into the plastic the expansion rate is significantly reduced and the flexural modulus is increased to 1,000,000 psi. This is best for applications that demand high strength, rigidity or stability, especially at temperatures above 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Available online: Rod
• 30% Carbon Filled - Carbon fibers augment the compressive strength and rigidity of this grade while drastically lowering its expansion rate. This offers 3.5 times higher thermal conductivity than our unreinforced grade. Contact Sales
• Bearing Grade - This contains carbon fiber reinforced with graphite and PTFE lubricants. This provides the lowest coefficient of friction, as well as, the absolute best machinability for all grades. Contact Sales
  These grades provide excellent chemical resistance, very low moisture absorption, inherently good wear and abrasion resistance and resistance to continuous exposure to hot water or steam.
